When it comes to fandom, most people will say that undergraduate schools trump graduate schools almost every time. That is definitely true when you played football for a division one program. Former Auburn receiver Ben Obomanu played for the Tigers from 2002-2005 before spending six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Obomanu is retired from the NFL and is now pursuing his law degree…at the University of Alabama. He begins classes this year, and he’s not afraid to rock the boat a bit in Tuscaloosa and promote the program that he played for.

Cool story I learned tonight: former Auburn and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ben Obomanu is in law school at the University of Alabama.

I believe Ben Obomanu was the valedictorian at Selma High School. Obviously a pretty great wide receiver too.

Some things just transcend the rivalry. This is one of them. An awesome story about a pretty remarkable guy.

Even Alabama fans should be able to respect that school pride. Well done, Ben.
